“Get sweaty every day.” Health advice from a potter I’ve admired since I started working in clay. @lindachristiansonpottery ☺️👍🏼 . . The time to do this doesn’t just appear. I have to MAKE it, or take it from something else, usually my workday, or during morning preschool on my “Mom Days.” (Like today) . . There’s always so much to do, but if I start with exercise, while my willpower is at its strongest, I feel great for the rest of the day. . . One little hack I’ve come up with is to put on my workout clothes right when I wake up. If I’m already wearing what I need to run, or do a yoga workout, I’m much less likely to skip it. . . How about you guys? Do you have an exercise routine you feel good about? . What kind of tips or tricks do you use to make sure you MAKE TIME to take care of yourself?!

I currently feel a million miles from our business + my creative process. When this happens, I can feel a little lost. . . Work is my comfort zone, my baseline. . . I’ve been busy mothering, visiting family, traveling, working on old-home projects, running, yoga-ing, organizing, and trying to figure out how our family can do better for the planet. . . It’s sooo healthy to take time away, but honestly, I can’t wait to get back to “work” - I think I’ve mentioned how much I love it before 😉 - and DAMN, I am grateful I feel that way, and for the privilege that is the freedom to take some space when I need to. . . One of our biggest goals was to create a business that would fit our life, and not the other way around. . .
